Original Abstract

Many lenses suffer from geometric distortion. Geometric distortion is one of the most stubborn type of image distortions caused by lens. It has no influence to quality of the image, but it has a significant influence to image geometry. This paper reports on polynomial model of this distortion, which introduces specific parameters of distortion and shows a technique of its removal, based on this coefficients and iterative method.
