Original Abstract

The paper deals with the method of calculation of corrected temperature profile of free jet of hot gas at the output of the arc heater. Temperature is measured by means of moving thermocouple inserted into the gas flow perpendicularly to its axis. The possible difference between the measured value and the real gas temperature is due to processes of energy exchange between the hot gas and the thermocouple (radiation and heat conduction is taken into account).
