Original Abstract

Metallography and image analysis were applied to study a plasma sprayed Ni20Cr coating on an Al substrate and the structure evolution by duffusion during the heat treatment of these couples. The results show that while the tickness of layers could be measured almost automaticaly, the particle characterization required some caution as manual editing and careful selection of the magnification.
