Original Abstract

This paper pertains to a worldwide issue - effective development of innovative activities within companies. Innovation itself is deemed an essential part of companys overall efficiency and development. The importance of an innovative process for Czech SME in the presently fading economic crisis is pointed out in the prelude of this paper. The purpose of this paper is to present and discuss knowledge and findings of original primary research. Various factors of innovation activities and potential development are being carried out with the help of primary and secondary research in Czech manufacturing companies. The author proved, with help of a questionnaire survey, that many companies still neglect their innovative activities, regardless of the importance of innovation as an engine of growth. Most innovations fail and enterprises that do not innovate, they cease. These findings are not affirmative for our business environment.
