Original Abstract

The split Hopkinson pressure bar test-SHPBT is used to evaluate the dynamical mechanical behaviour of aluminium alloy. The paper deals with a direct evaluation of stress-strain at high strain rates for specimens made of AA5083 H111 aluminium alloy. The influence of strain rate and strain on the final microstructure is investigated too.
