Original Abstract

The aim of the project is to test and investigate a new method of preparation of materials suitable to replace carbonaceous materials as supports for lithium ions in lithium ion batteries. Theoretically it appears possible, that intermetalic alloys of lithium with silicon or tin are expected to offer reasonable increase of energy density of a negative electrode. This project study metallic deposits formed on solid electrodes from aprotic solvents.
