Micro structural and mechanical properties of high-alumina cements (HAC) produced at the Research Institute of Inorganic Chemistry in Ústí nad Labem are presented. The refractoriness and compressive strengths of three types of HAC are compared. These properties are dependent on the cements' Al2O3 content.
