Original Abstract

In the paper the half sub-channel overlapped Filtered MultiTone (FMT) Modulation will be introduced. FMT is an alternative type of MultiCarrier Modulation (MCM) to the currently used Discrete MultiTone (DMT) and Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) techniques. The comparison of the common mentioned non-overlapped FMT and the introduced half sub-channel overlapped FMT will be realized. An equalization principle suitable for half-overlap subchannel Filtered MultiTone (FMT) will be described.
