Original Abstract

In this paper a recurrent functional equation for optimal criterion function of max-max type is derived which occurs in some automatic control problems. The presented equation makes it possible to find directly an optimal policy of the process control which another similar equation derived by R. Bellman and R. Kalaba does not allow.
