Original Abstract

We present a novel method for speckle reduction and edges enhancement of an ultrasound images in a radiofrequency (RF) domain. The algorithm is based on a wavelet transform (WT) and an empirical Wiener filtration (WF) in a wavelet domain. The resulted images show better contrast and low level of speckle noise and therefore are more suitable for segmentation or assessment by human experts.

English abstract
