Original Abstract

The paper deals with the seismic responce analysis of a large boiler destinated for an earthquake higly endangered area Bucharest. The paper contains the description of the procedure applied in the seismic response analysis using a FEM computational model. The approach in modeling integrated systems of piping and vessels is analyzed. Essencial results of the seismic analysis is presented. The approach in the assessment of limit states of the structure in the seismic design situation is analyzed.
