Original Abstract

A comparison of experimental results from static loading tests of pre-tensioned railway sleepers and results of numerical simulations of the test are presented in this paper. The static loading test in question is a three point bending of the sleeper in the cross sections under the rail. Functions of loading force versus crack width as the results of experimental and numerical analyses are compared.
