Original Abstract

This paper shortly presents last generation of mobile terminals. The paper starts with description of hardware requirements on 3G terminal that can be used for all new 3G mobile services. In the next the complete hardware solution from STMicroelectronics – 3G terminal application processor is shortly presented. The last chapter discusses the software solution of 3G mobile terminal and its connection with Open OS like Symbian, Windows Mobile, Linux etc.
