Original Abstract

Fatigue properties, microstructural changes and strain localization in ultrafine-grained copper produced by equal channel angular pressing technique has been experimentally studied. The cyclic stress-strain response under stress control depends on the stress amplitude. The formation of shear bands resulting in fatigue crack initiation was observed both for low and high stress amplitudes.
