Original Abstract

The article describes how the architecture of modern school buildings of the second half of the 20th century can be transformed into a platform that enables contemporary educational principles that increase the individual's sensitivity to their environment without the need for complex physical transformation. Through the example of educational programs created by architects and educators, the transformation of the classroom space into an unfinished structure suitable for child exploration is demonstrated, leading to a better development of children's cognitive functions as defined by Piaget while encouraging social interactions.
