This work was focused on the synthesis of a (poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid)-b-poly(ethylene glycol)-b-poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA-PEG-PLGA) triblock copolymer and the optimalization of the chemical bonding of dopamine to the copolymer. Both the effect of chemical modification and the addition of additives on the rheological properties of cement pastes and the transformation of calcium phosphate to calcium-deficient hydroxyapatite were monitored.
