Thermophilic bacteria of the Aneurinibacillus genus successfully biosynthesized poly(3HB-co-4-hydroxy-2-methylbutyrate) up to 11.14 mol% of total PHA content. GC-FID and NMR analyses confirmed the presence of the desired copolymer. Subsequently, we conducted additional experiments varying PHA precursor concentrations (lactone and glucose) and analyzed resulting materials using SEC-MALS, DSC, and FTIR, revealing distinctive properties. This marks the first evidence of wild-type bacteria producing (P(3HB-co4H2MB)).
