It is known that the model of communicating sequential processes (CSP)is quite a natural tool for modeling of message passing (MP)architectures. The possibility of modeling of shared memory (SM)architectures using CSP is suggested and described below. As anillustration, a parallel solution of a large system of linear equationson SM architectures has been simulated by means of the CSP-based toolTransim.
