Original Abstract

The object-oriented database system G2 was designed and developed inthe VEMA Brno, Computers and Projections, Ltd. in the period 1994 -2000. G2 is not only an object-oriented database system, but also thecase environment for an application development. At present, G2 systemis used for several commercial information system implementations withmany components. This paper gives us a short overview about the G2system, mostly in examples. The detail descriptions of the formalmodel, definition languages, case system etc. exceed the range of thispaper and they are published separately.
