Original Abstract

This paper deals with hierarchical fieldbus architectures aiming at single-master low-level fieldbusses. The paper introduces classification issues; namely, coupling architectures are treated both from the viewpoint of more classical interconnections of wide-area and local-area networks, and from the viewpoint of fieldbus domain. Next part describes more detailed insight through implementation tools developed particularly to support various low-level fieldbus interconnecting experiments.
