Original Abstract

This paper examines the application of the Weighted Least Squares (WLS) method for State Estimation (SE) in radial distribution medium voltage (MV) feeder. Using one feeder of a real distribution network (DN) equipped with multiple Remote Terminal Units (RTUs), the analysis investigates the impact of various factors on SE performance. Investigated factors include the number of RTU measurements, measurement and load uncertainty, each subjected to simulation variations. Evaluation of the method's performance is conducted by comparing estimated values with load flow results.
