Original Abstract

In the paper a technique based on the Laplace transform method to get the derivative of a matrix exponential function is elaborated. The necessity for such a computation appears in many cases of modelling and simulation problems. In the field of an electrical engineering it can be utilized e.g. for a sensitivity computation in the circuits with multiconductor transmission lines (MTLs) as their distributed parts. In this case just the s-domain MTLs chain matrix has a form of the matrix exponential function. A respective procedure was developed in the Matlab language environment.
