Kotvicí prvek je pomocným prostředkem pro připevnění předmětů na povrch fasád, aniž by došlo k mechanickému narušení vnějšího povrchu fasády. Jde o dvojici rektifikovatelnýchg desek, z nichž jedna je přilepena vhodným lepidlem k podkladu a do druhé prostorově odsazené desky lze mechanicky připevnit cokoliv, co má být trvale osazeno na fasádě. Byl vyvinut především pro kontaktní zateplovací systémy s tenkovrstvou omítkou, kde konvenční kotvení do pevného podkladu skrze silné vrstvy tepelné izolace je problematické. Je však stejně dobře použitelný i pro jiné podklady.

The anchoring element is an auxiliary means of attaching objects to the surface of facades without mechanically disturbing the outer surface of the facade. It consists of a pair of rectifiable plates, one of which is glued to the substrate with a suitable adhesive, and to the other spatially offset plate anything to be permanently fixed to the façade can be mechanically attached. It was developed primarily for contact insulation systems with thin-film plaster where conventional anchoring to a solid substrate through thick layers of thermal insulation is problematic. However, it is equally applicable to other substrates.
