Original Abstract

This paper deals with the derivation of the equivalent width of a diagonal strut representing reinforced concrete infill shear walls with an opening. These are the walls that provide the stiffness of the skeletal-type structure against horizontal loads. The size of the strut expresses the different sizes of openings, the different types of reinforcement of the infills, and their load state. The article builds on already published works.
