Funkční vzorek obsahuje hardwarový akcelerátor, umožňující na úrovni jednotky VPU provádět rychlé operace nad detekcí a rozpoznáním obličejů. Značná výhoda tohoto řešení je významné navýšení výpočetního výkonu a současně minimální nárůst energetické spotřeby zařízení a rovněž nízký nárůst nákladů na modul. Koncepce modulu umožňuje vytvořit konfiguraci včetně VPU akcelerátoru a rovněž (pro potřeby instalací bez nároku na rychlou detekci obličejů) konfiguraci bez přídavného VPU. Po připojení do ethernetové sítě je modul automaticky identifikován, přidán do systému a bez dalších nutných zásahů uživatele je umožněna jeho plnohodnotná konfigurace prostřednictvím centrálního RED modulu, respektive uživatelského rozhraní dostupného na RED modulu. Konstrukce modulu splňuje stupeň krytí IP65, což umožňuje instalaci modulu ve venkovních podmínkách bez dodatečného krytí.

The functional sample contains a hardware accelerator, allowing fast operations on the VPU level over face detection and recognition. A significant advantage of this solution is the significant increase in computational power while minimizing the power consumption of the device, as well as the low increase in module cost. The module design allows for a configuration including the VPU accelerator and also (for the needs of installations without a requirement for fast face detection) a configuration without an additional VPU. Once connected to the Ethernet network, the module is automatically identified, added to the system, and without further necessary user intervention, full configuration is enabled via the central RED module or the user interface available on the RED module. The design of the module meets the IP65 protection rating, which allows the module to be installed outdoors without additional protection.
