Jedná se o experimentální laboratorní simulátor - tribometr, jehož funkcí je simulace interakce lidského oka s očním víčkem za účelem měření tribologických parametrů - součinitele tření a tloušťky slzného mazacího filmu. Tribometr je využíván pro výzkum a vývoj umělých slz na bázi kyseliny hyaluronové.

It is an experimental laboratory simulator - a tribometer, the function of which is to simulate the interaction of the human eye with the eyelid in order to measure tribological parameters - the coefficient of friction and the thickness of the tear lubricating film. The tribometer is used for research and development of artificial tears based on hyaluronic acid.
