Original Abstract

The thesis deals with the influence of long-distance fiber routes on a polarization state of light. Optical communication and data transmission using optical fibers are plentifully used way of transporting information nowadays. The thesis deals with the influence of long-distance fiber routes on a polarization state of light. Optical communication and data transmission using optical fibers are plentifully used ways of transporting information nowadays. Optical communication plays a very important role in the civilian sector and can be assumed it should not be overlooked in military circles. Despite the fact it seems to be an ideal means of sharing information, we are limited by some physical laws and the properties of fibers. The subject of the experiment was to test the change of polarization state after undergoing tens of kilometers of optical route.
