Solar unit for BUT Cube satellite. Serves as the main power supply for the satellite. The unit is available in two variants, the first one can be placed on the sides of the satellite (X+, X-, Y+, Y-), the second variant is for placing on the top/bottom face (Z+, Z-). Functionally and in parameters the units do not differ from each other, only the shape of the unit and the format of the solar cells mounted on it are different.

In addition to the solar cells themselves, the module also contains sensors that can be connected to the control unit to obtain data on the temperature of the panel or the light level of the satellite side.

The unit contains a space in the middle for the modules to be placed, which can further extend the functionality of the satellite. This module can be: a sun tracker, an access panel or an antenna module.
