Original Abstract

This article is about the use of materially transformed organic waste (biochar) in the growing medium of green roofs within the framework of blue-green infrastructure and stormwater management and waste management. The usability of individual prepared innovative growing mediums containing biochar from waste materials will be evaluated in terms of its properties, limiting concentrations of pollution and potential benefits and risks for the environment, water resources and the ongoing climate crisis.

English abstract

Tento článek se zabývá využitím materiálově transformovaných organických odpadů (biocharu) v substrátech zelených střech v rámci modrozelené infrastruktury a hospodaření s dešťovou vodou a odpady. Bude zhodnocena využitelnost jednotlivých připravených inovativních substrátů s obsahem biocharu z odpadních materiálů z hlediska jeho vlastností, limitních koncentrací znečištění a potenciálních přínosů a rizik pro životní prostředí, vodní zdroje a probíhající klimatickou krizi.
