Original Abstract
The nature of the Dagestan Republic strikes with an incredible variety of climate of flora and fauna, where three climatic zones are uniquely combined: foothill (11%), mountainous (31%), flat (58%). Each climatic zone has its own distinctive features, respectively, each representative of the animal and plant world has its own habitat. The contrast of the nature and climate of the republic is greatly influenced by the proximity of the largest drainless and brackish Caspian Sea on Earth. The uniqueness of the ecosystem with its medicinal herbs and springs (of balneological significance); clean and healing mountain air; the region where the main routes of migratory birds, their wintering and nesting areas lie; rare and endangered species; water resources and biodiversity of the Caspian Sea; lands rich in minerals - all this amazing wealth of nature we must protect, preserve and restore. For this purpose, reserves and national parks of republican significance have been created in Dagestan.
