Geovisto: Connection Layer Tool

Software

The tool represents an extension of the Geovisto library (via an npm package), providing a map layer that can be used to visualize connections on a map. The solution uses the d3-force library to implement the so-called force-directed edge bundling rendering technique, which is suitable for minimizing map edge crossings and finding optimal shapes of edges in graphs.

The map layer can be together with the filtering tools of the Geovisto library used to visualize relations between geographical places on the map (e. g., visualization of DDoS attacks - sources and targets).
