Zařízení slouží pro vytvoření tenké mazací vrstvy na temeni kolejnice. K utváření této mazací vrstvy dochází v důsledku průjezdu kola přes místo aplikace maziva/modifikátoru tření a následnému odvalování kola po kolejnici. Hlavními částmi zařízení jsou zmenšené kolo a reálná kolejnice. Zmenšené kolo se po kolejnici odvaluje s fixní hodnotou skluzu, která je zajištěna pomocí ozubeného kola a ozubeného hřebene. Jako pohon je využit krokový motor s planetovou převodovkou.

This device enables the creation of a lubrication layer on the top of the rail. This layer is formed by passing a wheel through the area where the lubricant/friction modifier was applied. The main parts of the device are scaled wheel and real rail. There is a fixed value of the slip between the wheel and the rail. This fixed slip value is ensured using a gear wheel and a toothed rack. The device is propelled by the stepper motor.
