Testovací zařízení slouží k uživatelsky jednoduchému posouzení filtračních materiálů přírodních čistíren. Jedná se o zkušební kolony, s jejichž pomocí je možné vyhodnotit ovlivnění průběhu čistících procesů spojené se změnou charakteru filtračního prostředí. Pro účely testování je možné upravovat hydraulické zatížení jednotlivých materiálů tak, aby mohly být stanoveny jejich mezní provozní podmínky. Zkušební kolony svojí konstukcí odpovídají standardnímu provední vertikálního filtru přírodních čistíren.

Test columns are used for user-friendly assessment of filter materials of constructed wetlands. With the help of the columns, it is possible to evaluate the efficiency of cleaning processes for alternative materials. Operating conditions can be changed in order to find the limits of filter materials. Test columns are designed as vertical filters of constructed wetlands.
