Original Abstract

The article deals with determining the compressive strength of concrete through non-destructive testing, in particular, using a rebound hammer. For the needs of the experiment, cube-shaped specimens were made from concrete which was used for the construction of a pre-stressed motorway bridge. The specimens were divided into three sets. Each set was tested at a different age of the concrete using the Original Schmidt N and SilverSchmidt N rebound hammers. After non-destructive testing, the compressive strength of the specimens was tested destructively. The main goal of the article is defining the regression model for non-destructive determination of the compressive strength of concrete which is applicable to the concrete used and which can be used for checking the development of compressive strength during the first 28 days of maturing.
