Original Abstract

Trust can have its life-cycle and we can model it and utilize it forestablishing secure environment for mobile environments. We assume thatentities in the collaborating environment are mobile. It is notpossible to perform entity enrollment. There is no globally trustedthird party. Usual authentication mechanisms can not be used. Wepropose use of trust based on principal behaviour observations. Theoverall model has been devised with the SECURE project. The articlemakes a brief overview of the model and proposes specific approach forcomputation of trust values from observations. The method to beintroduced is based on Dempster-Shafer theory of confirmation.
