Type

Verified technology

Abstract

The technology is designed to speedup measurements of form and roughness using optical and tactile probes and/or their combination. The measurement and data fusion procedure is based on the use of general XYZ data sets, methodology rules for creating the scan path across the surface and software tools for data fusion and analysis. Using this approach, the scan patterns can be optimized to reduce the number of sampled points, which is important for tactile measurements to combine accurate results from tactile measurements with fast results of optical measurements. By including the form measurements we can also improve the accuracy of roughness results, as the leveling connected with the roughness evaluation is much more robust.
