Levels of assessment for chloride model parameters of existing concrete structures

Original Abstract
Today most assessments of reinforced concrete structures, such as bridges, are carried out within visual inspections because not all the structures in large infrastructure networks can be assessed in great depth due to cost constraints. The aim is, to determine the current and future performance with a maximum degree of accuracy and a minimum of effort. To reach that, there is a need for advanced predictive deterioration models for the assessment of structures over time. The article describes the different possibilities, subdivided in different levels of assessment depending on their accuracy and effort, to determine the parameters of the applied chloride deterioration model.
