Original Abstract

The paper deals with the direct calculation of critical clearing time (CCT), which is the metrics for the transient stability assessment of power grids. Existing direct formulas of CCT calculation are described and assessed on a case study. Results of the case study are compared to the time domain simulations and discussed.
