Original Abstract

The connectivity between BER and CNR is discussed in this article. On-off keying is supposed. There are defined possibilities of data obtaining with using measuring methods of CNR or with a determination of BER. An attenuation model of atmosphere can be constructed from obtained data. An unavailability of the optical link can be calculated using the attenuation model.
