Original Abstract
The investigation of the properties of alkali-activated aluminosilicate composite after exposure to high temperatures is reported in the present paper. The specimens were composed of finely ground blast furnace slag and dried sodium silicate as an activator. The heat-resistant mixture of vermiculite and electrical porcelain in volume ratio 30/70 was used as an aggregate. The specimens were tested after exposure to temperatures from 100 to 1200 C and microstructure, porosity and 28-days flexural and compressive strengths were obtained.
