Original Abstract

This article is focused on modern plasters with improved thermal insulating ability. Studied plasters composed of expanded perlite and silica sand. Regarding the matrix, three kind of binder was used. Lime was partially replaced by ceramic powder. This waste material shows good pozzolanic reactivity and thus bring economic and ecological benefits. As third aggregate Portland cement was added to the mixture for the purpose of improving mechanical performance of studied plasters. Due to desired high porosity of studied plasters, their durability can be strongly affected by presence of water. Therefore, in this article hygric parameters were studied. Namely, water absorption coefficient, apparent moisture diffusivity, water vapour diffusion resistance factor and sorption and desorption isotherms belong among studied characteristics.
