Original Abstract

This article focuses on the creation of cavities in high-temperature aluminum oxide 96% ceramics. Cavity creation can be divided into the pre-sintering and sintering process. This research focuses on the creation of a cavity in pre-sintering ceramics. The first option is to create a cavity using micro drilling. This method requires expensive machining tools because of the hardness of aluminum oxide. Another method is to insert the filler into the structure before sintering, which evaporates during sintering. This paper analyzed the possibility of creation cavities with carbon tape for LTCC vias and graphite rod. The last part of this paper is focused on x-ray inspection of this cavities.
