Inicializační proces mechatronických klíčů ve výrobě, a také programování administrátorských klíčů v provozu je realizováno prostřednictvím programátoru klíčů. Programátor komunikuje kryptograficky zabezpečenou sběrnicí s mechatronickým klíčem a je zároveň připojen k počítači prostřednictvím kabelu USB. Pomocí tohoto programátoru jsou nastaveny vybrané parametry standardním i administrátorským. Proces komunikace se mechatronickými klíči a komunikace s aplikací běžící v počítači je řízen 16 bitovým mikrokontrolérem MSP430FR5969 od výrobce Texas Instruments.

The initialization process of the mechatronic keys in production, as well as the programming of the administration keys in operation, is accomplished through the key programmer. The programmer communicates with a cryptographically secure bus with a mechatronic key and is also connected to the computer via a USB cable. With this programmer, the selected parameters are set as standard and admin. The process of communicating with mechatronic keys and communicating with an application running on a computer is controlled by a 16-bit microcontroller MSP430FR5969 from Texas Instruments.
