Original Abstract

The aim of this contribution is to investigate the shape of the beam that is generated by a step-index optical fiber and to demonstrate possibilities of the shaping optical beams by the help of optical fibers. Further we show the practical utilization of the optical beam shaping technology in free space optic communications.
