Original Abstract

Obviously in wireless or mobile standards there is always the need for robust multimedia transmission. The mentioned applications require the best trade-off between QoS, bandwidth and delay. Most mobile and wireless systems of today use the ARQ protocol in order to guarantee an error free transmission of data. Retransmission will guarantee an error free transmission in comparison to the non-transparent channel which in general will experience a varying random bit error rate.
