Original Abstract

This contribution deals with shaping optical beams and utilizations of optical beam shaping technology in free space optics communications. Further we characterize the shape of the beam that is generated by a step-index optical fiber and we demonstrate possibilities of the shaping optical beams by the help of optical fibers.
