Original Abstract

The goal of acoustic emission is to determine material changes (namely defects). It is necessary to predict, how the acoustic signal looks like in a given material. This can be done by a series of experiments or by a mathematical method. This article describes a simple approach how to make a computer program for numerical computing of wave propagation in homogeneous and isotropic material.
