Original Abstract

The aim of this article is to accentuate importance of the internationalisation process of Czech small and medium-sized enterprises. Companies currently aiming at increase or at least maintenance of their current level of profit and capital accumulation must apply new development strategies, typically including international expansion. The article also deals with the research project Internationalization of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises in the Czech Republic. At present this project is being undertaken by the Faculty of Business and Management at the Brno University of Technology. The article emphasizes the approach towards research methodology and presents the results of pre exploration related to the part of financial management.
