Original Abstract

The paper gives an overview of mechanical properties of Al alloy EN AW 2618A (AlCu2Mg1,5Ni) produced by technology of selective laser melting (SLM) which were obtained during experiments in the area of high-cycle fatigue. These results are compared with fatigue properties of the same alloy produced by traditional process (by extruding). Particular attention is focused on the possibility of evaluating of fracture behaviour, which were assessed by application of acoustic emission method. Partly, there are evaluated influences of various parameters of SLM technology on achieved mechanical properties of the tested material.
