Original Abstract

This contribution analyses briefly the possibilities of an international cooperation in the field of higher education between two types of European education institutes. The first one is called University of Applied Sciences (Fachhochschule), which is common in Switzerland, Germany and Austria. The second one is Technical University spread widely all over Europe. The core of the paper is the presentation of experiences, which arose from a long-term cooperation between the Brno University of Technology (BUT) in Czech Republic and the University of Applied Sciences Wiesbaden (FHW) in Germany.
